Author & Illustrator Information

. . . Done? Great, so you pretty much know what we're looking for. But you still want to download a copy of our submission guidelines, right? You've been to other publishers' web sites and you know that everyone's got them. Well, we have an admission to make: we hate rigid submission guidelines. How exactly are they "guidelines" if everyone is required to follow them? And why does it matter if the manuscript is double-spaced, anyway?

So, instead of formatting your work in a peculiar way and stuffing it inside an envelope along with another envelope, please send us an email introducing yourself. Let us know if you are a writer or an illustrator or both, whether you have been previously published, whether you have finished your book or it is still in progress, and whether you like anchovies. Or anything else you want to share.

Please do not send large attachments. If you are an illustrator and want to send a sample of your artwork, please send us just one picture for now. Alternatively, you can send us links to your web site or other work.

As for submissions by authors, you can send us your entire story or a summary and some sample lines.
