About Cub Books

Cub Books, the children's division of Walnut Tree Press, is dedicated to bringing beautiful artwork and inspiring stories to young readers. We publish books that stimulate curiosity and interest in the wonders of the natural world and show what can be accomplished with a good idea and some hard work.

Our titles combine rhyming verse with simple vocabulary and sentence structure designed to be read to infants and toddlers, who will learn to read along, then to read on their own. Our illustrations feature bright colors designed to appeal to young children and to help beginning readers to associate words with pictures.

Cub Books is both a publisher of new titles and a reseller of classic children's books. All of the titles we publish are available through our distributor, Bookworld, as well as through major wholesalers, such as Ingram. We carefully select the classic titles available on this site based on the same set of values we look for in the titles we publish. For example, we are currently featuring Dr. Seuss' Green Eggs & Ham and The Little Engine That Could, which teach perseverance and the value of trying something new.
